Ravanika started from a problem that kept coming up in conversations with counsellors: the software side of a private practice takes far more evenings than anyone expects. Sessions in one place, payments in another, receipts written by hand, and a public profile that lives on a platform charging monthly rent for it.

The part that stayed with us was quieter. Clients do not usually announce that they are leaving. They miss a rebooking, then a week passes, then a month, and by the time anyone notices, reaching out feels late. Nearly every tool records what happened. Almost none of them watch for what didn't.

So that became the product. Ravanika is built by software people — that is our background, not clinical practice — and the clinical judgement behind it comes from registered counsellors who use it and tell us where it is wrong. We build the workspace; they decide what belongs in it.

We are deliberate about what we do not build. No client reviews, no ratings, no endorsements, and no outcome claims — professional ethics codes and regulatory advertising standards in BC restrict testimonials, solicited endorsements, and outcome claims, and a directory that quietly bends those rules puts its own members at risk. Client messages go out only when a provider chooses to send them. Nothing is automatic.
